The roundhouse construction has been on hold for a while because of other projects but also because of the intent to fit it with a special pit to handle axles from underneath. The contruction now resumed.
L'extension en cours de construction, mais également la dalle de la partie en service prévoyaient cet ajout. La semelle de la voie rayonnante n°7 était volontairement plus courte pour permettre le creusement de la fosse. L'arrière de l'extension na pas été fermé pour laisser l'accès libre.
The extension under construction, but also the existing floor were made according to this idea. The base of track 7 was voluntarily shorter than possible to allow for digging the pit. The rear of the extension was not closed to keep access free.

The pit is deep enough to receive the concrete base and mostly the height of the necessary handling equipment.
The pit disposition will allow to lower an axle without having to lift the loco or carriage, then to slide and raise it between tracks where it is possible to work on it.
