The society develops relationships with other narrow gauge railways, not limited to swapping flyers nor simple visits. When the calendar permits it, a team is gathered for EXternal OPeration, generaly for track maintenance for which we are fortunate to have knowledge and special equipments.
On March 22nd and 23rd, not less than 14 members of the Aecfm made the journey to Pithiviers to help the AMTP society to improve its track. On the to-do list were: wooden sleepers replacement, setting of level and superelevation, addition and packing of new ballast, then shifting for aligment.

The difference before/after meets the eye, no doubt driving teams and passengers will recognize and appreciate the restored sections...
This gantry was difficult because of the wind and the physical strenght needed, but it was still sympathetic thanks to the warm greeting from the guys of Pithiviers.
