The standard gauge track of the Château La Vallière station has been removed. It is the opportunity to reclaim valuable items to maintain the Rillé track.

We were just about to come back with nothing since when arriving onsite we noticed all the rail pads had disappeared.
While preparing a few days earlier, I saw that several were missing. I hoped our quick response would allow us to be faster than the thieves, with no luck unfortunately.
Unexpectedly, some pads were protruding from the mix of soil and ballast which hid them. At least we got lesser disappointment.
This is when Saint Rita, our dear patron saint, leaned on Christophe and showed him the way... under the ivy and brambles. Bruno was also guided by the providential lights. And step by step, the amount of pads was growing to finally go beyond our expectations, our hopes, and even better, our needs !

So, a big thank you to Christophe, Bruno and Eric M.
Operation more than successful, with the satisfaction to have somewhat won over our dishonest competitors.
Next we will get the rails we need. But being 16.5m long with 40kg/m, they should not be stolen easily !

Oh, yes, but why do we reclaim these materials will you say ?
The next heavy works of track regeneration will take place at two critical points, each time at the junction between two different types of rail, and in a curve.
Source of worry as well as comfort and track worthiness, these zones are in the little "S" along the camping and at the exit of the curve of the former Port terminus, towards the "LGV" to Pincemaille.

The rails and materials reclaimed at Château La Vallière will allow to fit the delicate zone with the same type of rails and displace the rail type change in a straight portion less subject to troubles.''
