Every summer, during the 5 days training session, collective works are organised to avail the presence of many members. The roundhouse is now the prioritary job.
La fosse a essieux de la voie 7 pouvait être montée et cela commence par la préparation du béton pour la dalle du fond.
The axle pit of track 7 could be built and this started by laying the concrete layer for the bottom floor.

Shortly after, rows of concrete blocks were erected. Here a belt level awaiting iron armatures.

Once the fixtures position was determined, the frames were fitted with wooden bardage.

Then the doors installed. Experience form previous doors that pull too strong on their hinges induced the new doors to be mounted on pivots which will bear efforts more easily.

There is a lot of work left to do, for sure, but all that was accomplished is visible and visitors appreciate it. The Rillé roundhouse has its reputation in the railway world and becomes an attraction by itself. With all due modesty, it is a remarkable construction and we must insist on the fact that it was created from nil and is the result of the hard work of passionate volunteers.
